The kids are in bed and we are sorting through the last number of items and placing them in the proper totes. It is an interesting experience trying to think of what you need to take for a trip of nine weeks knowing that everything has to fit in a mini van. The real test will come tomorrow morning when I try and get everything to fit. I think we should be fine. The kids and Tanya have work and school tomorrow and then afterwards we hit the road.
There is something to be said about having great family, friends and neighbors. Over the past few days/weeks we've had a number of visitors stop by the house to wish us well on our journey and ask what they can do while we are away. They've offered to cut the grass, tend the garden or anything else that we need. They've also provided us with a number of gifts which we are very appreciative. We have our bridge toll paid for, we have a day at an amusement park paid for, we have numerous activity books and journals for the kids to use as we drive, the kids have spending money to buys some stuff while we are traveling and we'll be eating some Cows ice cream in Banff..... Our blessings are too many to count.
Time to get to bed. We are driving to Edmundston tomorrow.
